Since 2003, Sister Emmanuel Hospital has been meeting long term medical challenges one patient at a time. We are honored to keep this practice to better serve our community.
Sister Emmanuel Hospital is a Long Term Care Hospital. Our average length of stay is greater than 25 days. Our patients are medically complex and require hospital-level services over an extended period of time. Because we are co-located with Mercy Hospital, a Campus of Plantation General Hospital, we are able to provide expanded care, treatment and services. By working collaboratively with our host hospital, we offer the specialized services of a larger medical center with a focus on individualized needs and custom treatment plans.
Our goal is to meet the needs of our patients, along with the desires of family members. We recognize that we are working with people during critical periods of time and moments of transition, and we are honored to serve.
We remember our philosophy of ‘neighbor helping neighbor’ and ‘good people beget good people.’ We recognize that our patients and family members ‘embrace challenges,’ and we also accept these as opportunities to help our neighbors and witness moments of grace and adjustments. At the core of our commitment is recognition that we are simply people striving to meet the needs of others during complex moments in their lives.
Our history is combined with clinical excellence and tradition. Founded in 2003 by the Sisters of St Joseph of St Augustine, Florida, and joining the HCA network of excellence in 2011, we remain committed to service and the Miami community.
We look forward to walking this journey with you.
