Foundations
Our foundations are based in our long tradition dating back to the Sisters of St. Joseph.
From the earliest foundations in Le Puy, France to St. Augustine and later to Miami, the work of the Sisters of St. Joseph continues in the lives of those whom we serve. This also lives in the community of care, compassion, and clinical excellence that we continue. Not with force but with faith, we carry on our work through the legacy of the Sisters, and our team continues to embrace challenges to work toward the common good.
Our healthcare ministry is values-based, and remains focused on neighbor helping neighbor. We do not live secluded from our patients and their families, but we are firmly entrenched in the larger community. We are a community of concern connected to each other. The foundation of this mission is found in the basis of Jesus’ teaching of love, compassion, and charity. By following our core values, our team can cross the bridge and work effectively as a community of concern.
