Sister Emmanuel Hospital is a Long Term Care Hospital (LTCH) that offers highly specialized care, treatment, and services to critically ill patients.
Our interdisciplinary team works closely with patients and their families over an extended hospitalization. We offer continuous cardiac and pulmonary monitoring, numerous treatment modalities, and a variety of specialty hospital beds to meet individual patient needs. After all, no two patients are exactly alike so their treatment and care should be just as unique. SEH means a lot to our team.
With over 200 physicians and surgeons on our Medical Staff, our LTCH offers many medical services, clinical specialties, and surgical options to address complex and multi-faceted medical needs. To optimize outcomes and to meet emergent patient needs, our hospital contracts with intensivist physicians to be on the premises 24 hours a day.
Located between the skyscrapers of downtown Miami and the sparkling waters of Biscayne Bay, our hospital is co-located with Mercy Hospital. By working with our Care Partner, we also provide a wide array of medical and surgical options, expanded therapeutic and diagnostic capabilities, and the technology and resources of a major award-winning medical center.
Both Mercy and Sister Emmanuel hospitals are ministries of the Roman Catholic Church, sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of St. Augustine, Florida, and owned and operated by HCA. While SEH and Mercy are operated distinctly, our foundations are the same based on our tradition, core values, and commitment to the South Florida community. Both hospitals are committed to ‘good people helping good people.’
